Hind-Clarke Dairy

In 1924, Robert Hind purchased 2090 acres in the Wailupe Valley and established the Hind-Clarke Dairy. The dairy operation was sold in 1946 and the following year Robert's son Robson Kuakini developed the valley into a residential community known as Aina Haina, literally "Hind's Land." The logo was the classic Hawaii scene of a surf rider riding an old wood board at Waikiki with Diamond Head looming in the horizon. Every great brand needs a catchy motto. Theirs was, "Glide to health with Hind-Clarke Dairy Products." Pretty fitting for Hawaii's aloha style.
