There's one sure fire way for you to tell whether or not you are at a traditional Hawaiian hula - the skirts. If they're made of tapa or Ti leaves, then the hula is indeed traditional. If the skirts are made of grass, then you're not, and you've been taken. The difference is...do you really care what the difference is.
