In 1924, Robert Hind purchased 2090 acres in the Wailupe Valley and established the Hind-Clarke Dairy. He sold the dairy operation in 1964 and the following year developed the valley into a residential community known as Aina Haina, literally "Hind's Land." The logo was the classic Hawaii scene of a surfrider riding an old wood board at Waikiki with Diamond Head looming in the horizon. Every great brand needs a catchy motto. There's was, "Glide to health with Hind-Clarke Dairy Products." Pretty fitting for Hawaii's aloha style.
