Despite not being known as a competative surfer, Peter Cole was the winner of the 1958 Makaha Championships. But what Cole is best known for, is being an extremely skilled big wave surfer. Through the 60's, he was one of the main guys out at Waimea and Sunset Beach. Along with guys like Greg Noll and Eddie Aikau, he was known to be a challenger to the North Shore's biggest days.
